Bartending Server

A Bartending Server at TolHouse is a unique blend of bartender and server (waiter/waitress), ensuring an elevated experience for our Members and guests.

We are looking for hospitality professionals who have full-time day jobs but want to pick up 1-2 nights per week and occasional weekend events. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a fast-paced, high-touch environment and enjoy crafting exceptional cocktails while engaging with a vibrant community.

As a Bartending Server, you will prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, take food and drink orders, and provide service with attention to detail and professionalism. You may also serve as a Barista in our coffeehouse as needed. A TolHouse bartender is key to maintaining the appearance, atmosphere, and sensibilities of the club.

Compensation & Hours

Pay: Weekly pay comprised of a competitive mix of base wages and tips
Schedule: Part-time, evenings (after 4 PM) and weekends

  • 1-2 nights per week plus occasional weekend events
  • Flexible scheduling to accommodate those with full-time day jobs

Direct Responsibilities (Summary)

  • Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar and fruits
  • Greeting Members by name
  • Taking beverage and food orders from customers or wait staff and providing service as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
  • Prep bars and workstations for service (includes: silverware wrapping, bar stocking, garnishment prep, and etc as directed)
  • Bus tables of Members and guests after service
  • Collecting payment for services/products rendered
  • Checking identification and verifying legal age requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Training or experience with bartending
  • Experienced in cocktail-making and mixology
  • Computer and POS literacy
  • Extensive knowledge of drink mixing and garnishing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to multitask
  • Attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Strong observational and conflict resolution skills
