Today, we celebrate three years of TolHouse, and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of this incredible community of Toledo’s doers and inspired professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives.
From the beginning, TolHouse has been about creating a space for people who believe in the future of this city—people who, in their unique ways, are doing the work to help Toledo become what it could be if we didn’t stand in our way. I envisioned a place where artists, professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, and dreamers could come together. This community allows us to be authentically ourselves without needing to wear the mask of formality, yet we are still deeply connected by our shared commitment to building something greater.
TolHouse is a playground for adult professionals—a place of respite and inspiration where Members can find common ground simply by being part of a community of people who are committed to Toledo’s future.
How We Got Here: From an Idea to a Movement
Over the past three years, we’ve faced challenges like any business in the service industry, but the spirit of TolHouse has carried us through. That spirit is a mix of enthusiasm, grit, a commitment to excellence, and an unwavering optimism for Toledo’s future.
What started as a simple idea I had eight or nine years ago has transformed into a thriving community hub. I want to take a moment to thank every Member who has been part of this journey. Each of you brings energy, creativity, and a unique perspective that makes TolHouse what it is today.
Without you, we’re just a building—walls and a roof. With you, we’re a vibrant community that is alive with purpose.

In recent weeks, I’ve started having one-on-one lunches with Members. These conversations have been invaluable, giving me insight into how you define the value of your Membership, the benefits you experience, and ways we can improve. Some of your feedback has confirmed my assumptions, while other insights have been truly eye-opening. We’ll continue to evolve the House based on your needs and desires because this community belongs to you.
Why Toledo’s Future is Worth Fighting For
If you’ve heard me speak, you know how passionate I am about reinvigorating Toledo’s entrepreneurial spirit. Entrepreneurship isn’t an easy path. It often means pushing forward in the face of resistance. But that’s what makes it worthwhile.
My hope is for TolHouse to be a place where entrepreneurs of all kinds—whether you’re launching a bakery, a clothing line, or the next big tech startup—can find support, a deeper network, insights, resources, and inspiration. Toledo has the potential to be a city where entrepreneurs thrive like nowhere else in the world, and I am personally committed to championing that message and building the ecosystem to make it happen.

None of what we’ve done so far would be possible without my wife, Angela—my partner, best friend, and the rock behind everything we’ve built. Thank you for your unwavering support and belief in this vision. To every team member, past and present, your dedication and hard work have been instrumental in shaping TolHouse into what it is today. As we celebrate this milestone, I am excited to begin our roll out new events and initiatives for 2025. From programs that support your personal and professional growth to Member-driven experiences like book clubs, karaoke nights, Taco Tuesdays, and lunch-and-learn sessions, there’s something for everyone.
TolHouse isn’t just a place to grab a drink or hang out; it’s a space where you can grow—professionally, spiritually, and emotionally. Whether you’re here for a solo work session, hosting a meeting, or finding inspiration in a quiet corner, this is your House.
