Dough & Pastry Specialist

The Dough & Pastry Specialist at TolHouse is responsible for the daily preparation of our signature cinnamon rolls and other baked goods. This role involves mixing, proofing, baking, and finishing pastries with precision, ensuring that every item meets our high-quality standards. Working alongside the kitchen team, this person plays a key role in maintaining consistency, efficiency, and excellence in every batch.

Direct Responsibilities (Summary):

  • Preparing, baking, and finishing cinnamon rolls and other pastries with consistency and care
  • Following recipes and techniques to ensure quality, flavor, and texture standards are met
  • Monitoring dough proofing, oven temperatures, and baking times for optimal results
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen space, including coolers and storage areas
  • Assisting with ingredient prep, inventory management, and receiving orders
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and efficiency
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Some experience in a bakery or pastry role preferred
  • Ability to work on your feet for at least 6 hours, including moving, pulling, carrying, or lifting at least 40 lbs.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work mornings, days, and weekends as needed
